Business Development Directors Roundtable

The LawVision Business Development Directors Roundtable is designed to provide a forum in a confidential setting, for large law firm Directors of Business Development to share best practices, discuss challenges and opportunities, and brainstorm about new and innovative solutions and other topics of importance to the legal profession.

Discussion topics are member-driven and selected, and are likely to include discussions pertaining to issues such as:

  • Obstacles and challenges in establishing business development best practices
  • Leadership attributes and models required to achieve planning and implementation success

  • Process improvement and its integration into the business of law firms
  • Lead generation
  • Metrics and analytics for improving client value and law firm profitability
  • Leveraging artificial intelligence to win new work
  • Best practices for client retention and growth
  • How to be a better manager: empowering your team

  • Membership to the Roundtable includes two 1 ½ day programs held annually; meetings will be scheduled in the Spring and Fall
  • Strong peer-to-peer networking group to share best practices
  • Membership in the Legal Sales and Service Organization (LSSO), including a 15% discount applied to the annual Raindance Conference

All meetings will include a balance of presentations and interactive, facilitated conversations. Sessions include a professional development segment presented by an industry expert in the field of sales, service, or sales management. The plenary sessions will focus on topics of interest to the group. Time will also be built in for roundtable breakouts on issues of specific interest to participants.
